The production process of galvanized steel pipe is generally divided into two ways: hot-dip galvanizing and electro-galvanizing. Hot-dip galvanizing is to immerse the cleaned steel pipe in molten zinc liquid, and the zinc reacts with the surface of the steel pipe to form an alloy layer and a zinc layer. Zinc has strong adhesion and good protection effect, which is suitable for long-term use of steel pipes in outdoor or humid environments. Electro-galvanizing is to deposit zinc on the surface of the steel pipe by electrolysis to form a thin layer of zinc film.
Although the cost is lower, its anti-corrosion effect and durability are slightly inferior to hot-dip galvanizing.
